I Heart My Polo Lifestyle

Hey what’s up? First time blogger; Long time fan. Not sure what to post for my very own blog just yet. This will probably be THE corniest post I ever make (let’s hope).

I have a few things going on at this moment. Right now my concentration’s on coming up with the last THREE BARS for this verse I’m doing for a song by this production duo Skin & Bones. The beat is dope. It’s on some straight up ’90s rhythm & soul type of beat. I won’t even say R&B here. Like imagine you’re watching VH1 Soul & an old video by Shai comes on. You remember those type of songs by those type of groups. The African American quartet with the one stand out ‘light-skinneded’ guy who had the ‘good hair’ & ‘pretty eyes’ who all of the girls in the ‘hood went ga ga over? Yeah… THAT kind of track. It’s an interesting flip because it sound VERY genuine. What’s MORE interesting is that I’m rhyming on it. *ha* Even MORE interesting is that it features alt-rock wiz kid Christopher Chu of The Morning Benders. Man, I LOVE his group. And, just to top it off with the interesting factor here, BERNIE WORRELL of Parliament-Funkadelic fame, is playing keys on it. Now it don’t get mo’ interesting that THAT I tell you. I swear. Well, maybe Lil’ Wayne doing rock music but not really even that either because: 1. He’s BEEN partying like a rock star (& told you all about it) & 2. His song isn’t that bad. Go figure.

Anyway, I’ll tell you a lil’ more about The Morning Benders (or the little that I know of them) in my next post.

Post Script: My verse is coming out kind of crazy but it’s break time @ 10 o’clock. Law & Order: Special Victims Unit on NBC. Can’t miss that with the Mrs.
