88-Keys x Remix Magazine
The Inside Scoop:
So I did this interview over the phone with fellow ‘lo head Anthony Roberts from Chicago. I didn’t know him prior to this interview but we’ve been building via MySpace & emails ever since. So bust how a day or two after we wrap up this interview he hits me back saying that his editor wants my equipment list. I was pretty certain I sent it in to him either before or immediately after the interview. He goes on to confirm although I did send him my equipment list, his editor was almost positive that I left a few key pieces out. I review the email I sent him; Everything was there. He’s like, “Okay I’ll let her know… Again.” He hits me back again in regards to the same issue. So (now for the ‘punch line’) his editor was astounded that I didn’t use ANY software to make beats/songs: No ProTools, no Reason, no Logic, not even a single bowl of Fruity Loops.
Well what DO I use you might be asking yourself? (That’s if you’re crazy & actually talk to yourself). The answers lie within. Check the article. Thanks & enjoy!

Shouts:
- Anthony Roberts for showing me around the Chi’ Town strip & coming with me to the Ralph Lauren Store. Wish I had time to eat @ the RL Restaurant & I WISH I cop’d those Polo sand boots.
- Remix Magazine for adding my name to the cover & the THREE PAGE ARTICLE in their physical magazine. Um… Cover next time please? (Hey, it can’t hurt to ask)
- The Morning Benders for making “Last Today” which is what I’m listening to right now while I type this blog entry. (This song stayed on repeat since earlier this morning. I think I have the lyrics committed to memory).
- Krista my wife. Sorry you got sick today baby. Hopefully you’ll feel better later on tonight. We have to watch Desperate Housewives for my ‘break’ from working on this remix for… *shhh*
- 9th Wonder for truly astounding people w/your Fruity Loops savvy. (I STILL think that’s crazy).
