Believe It or Not…
You can’t really tell by looking at this photo but living (jazz) legend Gary Bartz is a fellow ‘Lo head. Just thought I’d share this fun fact with you guys. Peace!
Shouts:
- To my photographer wife Krista. Although she didn’t use her expensive-ass camera, she still did a Hell of a job… with my iPhone.
Thanks babe. - Gary Bartz thanks for being a ‘Lo Head & one Hell of a musician. The first time we met was at B.B. Kings on 42nd Street in NY at The Roots’ party. You rocked. Word… Props due!

Whats a lo head?
A person who’s known for wearing/owning an excessive amount Polo clothing by Ralph Lauren.

Does several Comforter Sets/ Bags/ fragrances count???
Not really. You’d have to get more than a few hours of usage out of each item on a daily basis.
I sleep in my beds all the time, and i faithfully rotate bags, and i wear the fragrances everyday……i definitely have Shirts for a million days, then a pair or 2 of shoes
Okay but I have yet to see you in any Ralph Lauren clothing + you don’t have anyone who could vouch for you therefore… No dice kiddo. Sorry.

I meant the horn section!typo….
Omg and u wearing that mugabe shirt!what happened to the polos?that peace sign is overdone!i was listening to diane washington.i think u should sample mad about a boy..i am crazy into jazz.i would love to see a day a rap artist raps only to the horn.one instrument per song..that would be interesting!i am really excited about u.literally..hahaha.
“Mugabe” shirt? This is a Ralph Lauren Polo shirt I’m wearing in this photo. Laguna Bob Camp shirt to be exact. I rarely take sample “advice” from people because I would feel like they think they’d be entitled so some credit for recommending the sample… & I’m not really one to share credits so easily. I’m stingy. I’m just though I’m stingy. I’ll only give credit where I feel credit is due. Thanks for the tip though. I don’t own any of her albums & now I probably won’t ever. I’ve sampled from jazz artists in the past. Check some of my older work. You’ll hear it (i.e. “Love”).

My fav tracks are morning wood..,stay up,theres pleasure in it..we had a huge debate about your music..man,i am wordless.i guess craft comes before fame in your case.hey keep doing what u do,and il spread the word!hey i was born in 87..how old is that?a year before u…haha!and u play play the keys very well btw!what west african country are u from??stay blessed and please reply!i am listening to u now and its 2:39am in my country..but please stop being so underground its not cool!
I was born in ’76. Bronx, NY (United States) but my entire immediate family is from Cameroon, West Africa. I didn’t choose to be “underground”; that’s actually an entry level & it’s the ‘fans’ (or lack thereof) which keeps us here. I’m glad you found out about me eventually. Better late than never which is what I always say. You may have heard some of my work & not known it. Do you own Mos Def’s first album? If so, I produced about 3 songs on there. It’s all about reading credits. Trust!

Thanks for having favorites. Also, just to add, I do not play the piano (or “keys” ad you referred to them by). I only chop up old samples.
